I am a technology leader with more than twenty years in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, and distributed systems. This site is where I work out what I think about putting AI to use inside real organizations, and where I keep a record of how that thinking changes.

The idea I keep returning to

The idea behind this site is a working view of how AI changes the technology a business uses and the way it operates. I date each revision and change it when my reasoning changes. The current version and how it developed are on Turning AI capability into business results, and how it relates to the notes and projects here is mapped on the connections page.

How to read this site

The notes and projects go back to 2017. The older ones are about security and cloud infrastructure, and I have left them as they were. They are a dated record of what I built and what I knew at the time.

Where I am describing a reading or a design idea that I have not tested, I say so.

Outside work

I fish for saltwater species, mostly trolling and bottom fishing in the Gulf. I have two sons, and we spend a lot of time outdoors.

A note on these views

I write here in a personal capacity. The views are my own, not those of any employer or client. Nothing here is based on confidential work; the specifics of my work stay in the systems where they belong.
